My Battle With The Demon of Lust

I am going to touch on a very personal subject of my Battle with the demon of Lust. I am not proud of what I was and what my environment molded me to be. My moral compass was completely off my entire life, especially at a young age. A large part has to do with my trauma as a child and learning how to live in my own mind.

I believe I was around the age of 9 or 10 when I dove into the realm of pornography. I remember the feeling of, “I should not be doing this, but I like it.” Thus my descent into Hell began there. If I could go back and prevent myself I would, but you live and you learn.

I have many funny stories revolving around pornography, however, many of these stories show you how hooked on the flesh I was. I craved to watch porn all the time, even in my young teens. My mind became perverted and it made me see women in ways I should not. However, I know I am not the only one in the world struggling with this battle. Lust seems to be man’s easiest point to break down a man, that is why the Devil uses it so much.

I was a slave to Lust. I masturbated 6-7 times some days. My friends and I would always have these conversations and share these types of details. I would say it proudly with no second thoughts whatsoever. I hate who I was, but the Lord punished me for my ways to refine me into a man of God. Would I want to relive the pain and suffering the Lord has given me? Certainly, not! As I have learned my lesson finally, I desire to be only in the Grace of God and nothing else.

If you have these problems you are not alone! Society has normalized pornography and integrated it to the point our conscience cannot tell right from wrong. The Devil has blinded us all. Ask the Lord Jesus Christ to come into your heart and help you fight these demons of Lust. It is a hard battle, but in Christ, EVERYTHING is possible! I still fight the battle everyday and the temptation is always lurking. Therefore, pray to not fall into temptation!

****HOW TO FIGHT BACK IS SIMPLE, SEE MATTHEW 26:40-41Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping. “Couldn’t you men keep watch with me for one hour?” he asked Peter. 41 “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”****
